A Trigger-it environment consists of one Management host, and any number of Data Processors and clients.
Logical Architecture of Trigger-it Environment
A Trigger-it environment employs a logical management of physical topology. Production topology is populated using agents, which interface natively with the devices, operating systems and users and can be configured based policies and grouped via “Tags”.

| Endpoint | A computer/Network Device/Android Device for which software agents or sending Data to the server |
| agent | A software component that is installed on Computers or Mobile devices to send data to the management server |
| Data Processors | A dedicated machine or machines to process incoming data from client machines. |
| Trigger-it Remote Server | This server could be installed separately or colocated with Trigger-it Management server to meeting most complex and demanding scenarios, this server is responsible to allowing remote connections over the internet and authenticating and authoring connections. |
| Management server | A single server designated to storage and display data and push policies to clients. |
| Trigger-it policy | A logical management entity with rules that define the agents’ specific configuration and allows administrators to enabled/disable features dynamically. |
| Trigger-it Policy Element | A single configuration that controls a specific feature of Trigger-it agent and grouped together in a single policy to control the entire agent’s features. |
