Trigger-it Agent has several prerequisites including the setup file itself, to install the agent those prerequisites must be installed first for the agent to work properly.
Depending on the Windows version and its update level, differnet prerequisites might be required to be installed, Trigger-it Agent Installer is a tool provided by installation team to setup those prerequisites and files, to obtain them please contact the installation team or support@sysgravity.com to obtain it.
Once obtained, follow the below steps to install the agent using AD Group Policy:
1- Create a Group policy object or use an existing one to run the installation scrip:
2- Edit the group policy object and go to Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Scripts (Startup/Shutdown):
3- In the startup scripts, click Add:
4- In the browse section, paste the installation package that contains Trigger-it prerequisites, or point to a shared folder that contains them:
5- Choose the main installation script (we prefer to rename it to 1.exe to avoid escape and space issues):
6- In the parameters sections specify /s , the installer has the following parameters:
- /s : Silent installation, detects if Trigger-it was already installed and skips installation if it is installed.
- /r : Repair installation, Re-installs Trigger-it agent.
- /n : Regular installation but includes Server.name file.
By completing those steps, the next reboot, devices will receive Trigger-it agent installation, the same process could be applied to logons.
